I agree with Samurai!!!
The yellow looks great but very little room for articulation!!
You could try SOA setup. Search for Khan's gypsy's thread. Khansultan on Teambhp!!!

Each time I see his ride, I always curse myself for selling off my MG410 in 2001 :Frustrati

Hi,

The soldiers are not in a movie, these are the air force commando's (Para Commando's) if i'm not wrong. And I guess the pic was taken during an air show in Bangalore or Pune.

Cheers !!!!!!

They are the elite special forces of Indian Air force known as Garud Commando Force. Para Commandos are the elite wing of Indian Army.

Hi Samurai & Harjeev,

I know the front clearance on that yellow gypsy is too low. But its still work in progress. Will post final pics soon.

SOA on Gypsy is another project in the pipeline.

Cheers

Here i go with the pics of my Gypsy King MPFI 2004 model.

When i bought this gypsy then it was in this condition.

After restoration my gypsy look decent.

I have Restored this gypsy with all original MGP (maruti geniune parts) which i bought from Gurgaon. It costed me lil higher but i believe in using original spare parts. I have also fitted an AC in this gypsy.

that surely looks like a clean buy. congrats on being Gypsied!

if i may ask how much you paid for the gypsy, what all restoration work you carried out and how much did that work cost?

Hi All
I have been extremely lazy updating my thread on my restoration of the two gypsies that I recently picked up from the army auctions. Here is the thread http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/4x4-ve...storation.html .

More importantly I have managed to get some tereffic location pics of one of my gypsy that has undergone partial restoration. Let me present a few of the best pics here.

The first pic has been edited by my friend Rajasri Roychowdhury.
The second pic shows the gypsies after getting them out of the depot and in the garage at pune.
The third pic was taken on the way from pune to nagpur, a distance of 800+ kms which the two vehicles accomplished flawlessly after minor servicing at pune.

More pics will follow shortly.

Critiques and comments are more than welcome.

Hey Dr.Abheek

I really like the first picture!!! the foreground really adds character to the vehicle!!!

Those are real stunners Dr.Abheek . Would love to have one of such kind.

for the first time i took my gypsy to our tea gardens it was a lovely 3 hr drive, full open top! i must say the off road performance of the gypsy took me by surprise and it performed flawlessly, even better than our land rovers!!
some pics and loads of videos to come..some for now in this thread..

Those retro fit seat looks good. BTW was this a restored Gypsy or new one?

If you reffered to me then yes it's a 96 gypsy 410w. Recently restored. Great and simple machine.

@Chargerman very nice Gypsy.

I could not help but notice that even though the grill and the bonnet are from the 410 series there is a King sticker on the side :) Is that intentional?

I really like the King logo and the 413 written font. When I bought badges I chose th over the old 410 plastic logos. Though it's a lovely little engine, I do have plans to upgrade to the vitara 1.6 carb engine setup. Let's see how it goes.
