The 410W label AS WELL AS the freewheeling hub locks.
AFAIK, widetrack ones never came with hub locks.
As you said, this might be a special one.
But do not say maruti did that "Denim" job.lol:

It was a 3-D paint that was done on this gypsy, not a plastic decal. That is what was told, it was done by Maruti Udyog, but might have been a custom job from various mod specialist.

This gypsy belong to my friendly kabadi wala. He used nissan diesel engine in this. Claims to get mileage of 20kmpl.

Story sounds a bit fishy. Mechanics can usually tell tales till the cows come home. You name a car and they will have a story about it, their favorites they will tell positive stories but everything else overheats...has poor AC...engine only last 75,000KM...etc etc.

Are you going to be respraying this ? Remove the denim decals they really detract from the vehicles looks.

Has your friend retained or removed the 4x4?

No idea about that, I'll ask him when I pass by his shop next time.

Nicely modded Gypsy. Was this done recently? I remember seeing those wheels and tyres at RD last week.

Also, from the engine pics I see the engine is a distributorless setup. Are the newer Gypsy Kings distributorless or is that a Baleno/Swift Engine transplant?

I still can't see it. Could you circle it in the image and post the picture for me please? Also, in a distributorless set up(in Baleno and Swift atleast), there is not Cannister-type ignition coil. Instead there are two ignition coils (called ignitors by some mechanics) shared by four cylinders. In the picture, they are the rectangular units connected to the spark plug boots.

@Sha: If you are reading this, could you please post pictures of your engine bay. I am requesting you because yours is the newest gypsy I know:).

Sir, I'm no good in computers and imaging. Just draw a 30 degree line from where his palm rests and you would see the distributor cover there..atleast a part of it.

cheers
