Like I said Loved the way My Bro's MG410 looked with Soft top, I also want to be able to carry my GT-250 Comet in it.

Updates done:
Fixed the H3 Xenon's in Comet Hella 550 fogs on a custom mount, yet to create smaller role cages to protect fogs from branches.
The role cage is back on, fixed smaller pipes in it, spot welded, filed, sandpapered, base coated, more filing, then painted & bolted on this took 3 days !!! entire weekend gone, lousy lazy painter chap with attitude is the Issue, but at least the final thing is good.
The center mount in the role cage elevitated by 2 inches to drain rain water on soft top else, it would form 2 vertical channels & hold H2O in place.
Front Left rear view mirror mounted on bonnet Mr Venkat in the Garage just loved to put it on, would not rest till it there
Scorpio Hub caps are on , needed to reduce the dia of inner metal rim for it to fit on Gurkha, also put tags to keep them in place, Poor mans Alloys unless Rahul or Dr can sell me a pair of 16 inch for dirt cheap
Holes in place to move the rear seat all the way back as far as possible to felicitate at least couple more people to sit in the front of rear seat facing the rear seat, we did a trip to Nandi with 8 people in it almost comfortable
have bought Rubber mats to help reduce sound & rattle further, yet to install it.

Wow! What a mean machine!!

BTW I heard any anti-roll bar is useless if simply attached ad-hoc and there is a method in the way it needs to be done to be effective. Do you know about this and did you adopt the right method? or am I wrong? If not, perhaps somebody can inform on the correct way to attach one ?

This is the Stock Crown & Pinon with ration 4.9



Want to get to a higher gear ration & found this
7 teeth Pinon & 39 teeth Crown = 39/7 = 5.57 So I can go in for bigger Wheels (35 inch) & not lose the torque by trading some top end speed

Haven't yet bought the pinon need to know if this is the correct type?





We put one round of silicon,
2 rounds of Turtle Scratch remover
1 round of Turtle wax polish

Boy the hard work paid & we could see the green / blue dots in the black metallic paint for the first time. the surface is so smoth now that any thing kept on the bonnet just slides down







Removed rear mats & vacuumed / brushed all stuff, cleaned water from recent river crossing



My Cousin Raju did a good job of cleaning the leathers that had mud / slush with a leather conditioner, sad part is the conditioner is empty now



I did clean the water collected in the head lights / parking lamps & indicator, but missed a point, the parking light are direction sensitive, so the bigger knob is -ve & the smaller is +ve, I tought wont matter for a tungsten filament bulb & didnt bother / know about polarity, wrongly connected & unfortunate a 40 A fule was in the parking light instead of 10 A !!! so the wiring for parking burnt !! Have replaced it & lessons learnt









Have changed the headlamp wiring too & put in 130/100 in place of 60/65 for the Main headlamops



Installed a pipe horn ONLY TO FRIGHTEN CHARGING ELEPHANTS (If Any) not for city use, saw the us in a video

Really good to see the various upgrades/changes/improvements you are making on your Gurkha. In my opinion the Cooper tires you have are great and with 235/85/16 size you have ample ground clearance. Don't waste money to change your diffs and also upsize to 35 inches. They are really not worth unless you plan to do some extreme stuff. Since you have IFS in front you may also want to check, if you front axle will take this kind of load. 35 inch tires are crazy expensive. I suggest you invest the money in a good winch. This should make your beat capable enough for the OTRs we typically go for.

@ 4x4addict Thanks. I am working on getting the PTO winch to shape. but its complex & time consuming, as I do not have a reference design for the drum & also no one has routed the PTO output in a Gurkha or a G w461 to the front or rear.

Yes the front IFS ball bearings will need to be changed every 20K Kms if we put in 35"
but that how you create a Monstrous one right? that being said, I agree & WILL listen to all advice (that's the point to put up in forums). surly prioritize winch over diff & Tyre mods.

@ livyodream I got it from US of A its called paint in a pen. found in Hobby stores chaine of shops.
