I have a few doubts to clear regarding the VIN,chassis number for the new Fluidic Verna.
Do all Hyundai cars have 19 character VIN no.?
I have got a 6 character VIN no from the sales rep consisting of only digits, and i am pretty sure it is wrong.
The so called Chassis no is 061658

The sales rep had allegedly given me only the last 6 chars of the actual VIN stating- " Sir we are not supposed to reveal the actual number"
Me - " In that case I am not supposed to give you my money too"

Immediately get the complete chassis no/VIN :-

Friends I wan't ur help.........

I am interested buying a skoda rapid. I have no doubt about the fact that its a lovely car.

I am scared of skoda service. Now I have some doubt about my decision.

The dealer I am interacting with has a pretty bad reputation on the forum. Now I am scared BIG TIME.

Now the question:

We all know that RAPID's are in demand and enjoy a waiting of at least 2-3 months. I am interested in buying a RED PETROL version. I learn that this car is in stock with this not so reputed dealer. I asked the salesguy to send me the VIN of the car. He promptly sms'ed it to me.

On decoding it, I understand it is November 2011 manufactured. SUPER SCARED

Of course I will go 2 their warehouse 2 inspect the car.

But I am only wondering, is it normal for a car in demand to be standing in the warehouse for close to 6 months??? Prima Facie, should I be scared and back off??

May be it depends up on specific color and fuel choice. So if you are decided yourself then bargain hard to get the best out of it, as you said already its a November 2011 make car.

That's surprising. We received this VIN No from Hyundai dealer last week when we booked i20. Do you know when will more info available as dealer is to receive the car by Wednesday and delivery by next Friday.
