Can you please let know, how different is the model year denoted by the VIN specify? Somewhere read that, it is the model year and not the year of maufacture. Is this true?

^^ For model year please refer here

Our system doesn't consider the Model year while registering a vehicle. Vehicles register here by looking at which month and year it actually manufactured, most of the time which can be identified from the Chassis number and some cases from manufactured declared certificate.

Also please refer the first page of this thread to know different manufactures Chassis/VIN format.

I booked my car on Jan 1, 2010, got the delivery on Jan 19, 2010. I did not know of team-bhp at that time. I joined team-bhp during June 2011 and came to know about VIN, but never bothered to check the date of my car's manufacture. That inertia disappeared today and I checked it, it is manufactured during Jan 2010.

Reading how dealers have been cheating customers, I want to thank Crystal Honda, Pune for delivering what they promised.
