With paint of-course. You have a installer showcase for that. I am sure everybody would love to see upgrades done (if any)

The SLC i remember was 22000 and 24100 for the kickbass version.
The genny four was 43400 and 46500
and the ID 10" with custom colour were 35900.

Have the prices increased?

These prices are after the introduction of IDv3 15 and CTX subs.

I think you have the older price list because the prices you mentioned are from the older list.

Hey Abhinav, we (at least I can speak for myself) never meant to hurt you or anybody else or create a feeling of guilt! My apologies if it seemed so. It's not us who decide who gets what, it's the almighty who holds master keys. He has only given us a very minimal control over our destinies to play around with, rest is handled by himself.

So, in my opinion you guys have 100% legal as well as moral right to make use of privileges that you have and I hope you enjoy your carbon's, eclipse's, rainbows, genny's etc. to the fullest., so do I.

OMG, that was almost like a spiritual baba speaking! I am an ordinary human being living in this materialistic world, so let me bring the discussion back to the point, by posting about my ICE-

1. What Car?
Maruti-Suzuki Baleno Lxi (2006)

2. What is your existing setup (HEADUNITS, SPEAKERS, AMPS, DSP,SW etc.)
Headunit: Clarion DXZ785USB
Bluetooth Kit: Nokia CK-20W (Handsfree cum A2DP cum charger kit)
Front Speakers: CDT CL-62 (6.5" 2-way components)
Rear Speakers: None
Subwoofer: CDT EF-100 (10" sub put in a sealed box)
Amplifier-Front Speakers- Kenwood Excelon KAC-X20 (2-channel, class-AB)
Amplifier-Subwoofer- Kenwood KAC-8104D (mono, class-D)
Wiring-Power- Scosche individual 4GA for each amp
Wiring-Speakers/Sub- unknown brand (12GA for Sub, 14GA for mids and 16GA for tweeters, last one should have ideally been 18-20GA)
Wiring-RCAs- Hitron (2 nos, Chinese I suppose, but very good)
Wiring-3.5mmStereo to RCA converter (for kit)- Unknown (1 no)

3. How much did it cost ?
(Everything except wires was sourced from US of A)
Head Unit- 7.1K
BT Kit- 3.5K (This could be much cheaper but I had to choose little expensive shipping option because it was ordered at the last minute)
Subwoofer- 5.6K
Components- 7.6K
Compo amp- 6K
Mono amp- 5.6K
Total for all components- 35.5K

Installation- All inclusive with wires, box etc., basically everything apart from above- 9.2K making total ICE cost=44.7K

4.How serious were your about your system?
Very very serious. More than getting myself a good SQ setup, I was (still is) very curious to just know scientific reasons that differentiate high fidelity equipments from not so good or poor ones.

5. Which kind of music do you listen to ?? prefer deep bass or how is it...
Nothing specific, anything that entertains me, language/genre no bar!

6. Would you recommend it to others???
Definitely, provided you can buy it online in US and carry it back without needing to pay customs! Regardless of price it sounds pretty much SQ to me, for the cost I believe it is a real VFM. Cost of wires (power/speaker) look like a overkill, though.

Panasonic CQ-RX322W USB CD/MP3/WMA

posting it here too as a reply to my query....

I was looking out for a basic Head Unit with all features like USB, MP3, etc. I had narrowed down my chioce to JVC, Kenwood and Panasonic. I had a fond for JVC hwoever as per recent posts I was disappointed on JVC. Many people recommend Kenwood over Pioneer. I had almost decided on Kenwood 5039/543. But when i called up few accessorie shops, i came to know of Panasonic. I was a little annoyed. After some good net searches and some more home work. I decided on Panasonic.

Here are the details:

1. What Car?
Maruti-Suzuki Zen

2. What is your existing setup (HEADUNITS, SPEAKERS, AMPS, DSP,SW etc.)

Head-Unit : Panasonic CQ-RX322W
Rear: JBL GT5-963SE
Front : Sony Xplod

3. How much did it cost ?

Head-Unit : ard 6K
Reads : 3.8K (with boxes) 1 year back
Front : NA (came free with car)

4.How serious were your about your system?
Pretty serious. I love a balanced music with occasional punchy techno.

5. Which kind of music do you listen to ?? prefer deep bass or how is it...
genres like Rock, Osibisa, La Bionda - High Energy, Santana, Techno, Benny, Bollywood, etc

6. Would you recommend it to others???
Definitely! Its a great VFM. Sounds perfect for low-mid volumes. Has most of the features which are used 80% of the time. 6+4 = 10K is a perfect buy for entry levels.

1. What Car?
Santro Xing XO (2006)

2. What is your existing setup (HEADUNITS, SPEAKERS, AMPS, DSP,SW etc.)
Headunit: Sony CDX-GT660US
Front Speakers: Sony 4" (No idea about model number)
Tweeters: Some Chinese (They perform exceptionally well)
Rear Speakers: JBL CS3196
Subwoofer: JBL GT5-S12
Amplifier- JBL GT5-S644
Wiring-JBL (Original) + Some cheap Chinese stuff
Enclosure
All without Bill & Warranty

3. How much did it cost ?
Head unit, front speakers and rear speakers were bought in October 2007 for Rs.9,500. Tweeters bought later for Rs.75

Sub and Amp done yesterday:

Subwoofer: JBL GT5-S12 : Rs.2,600
Amplifier- JBL GT5-S644 : Rs. 5,400
Wiring-JBL (Original) (Rs.1,450) + Some cheap Chinese stuff (Rs.200)
Enclosure - Rs.950
Installation - Rs.250 (It was above average; not excellent; proper setting required and slight buzz from rear along with high shrills, will get it fixed tomorrow)

I paid a total of Rs. 10,800 for this. So total cost for the whole system to me is roughly Rs.20.5k

4.How serious were your about your system?
In short, serious.

5. Which kind of music do you listen to ??
90% of the time Gurbani Kirtan, for the rest 10%, it's primarily Punjabi (urban style) with Sufi and English (Pop, Slow songs).

6. Would you recommend it to others???
In view of my limited budget, this was the best I could buy considering brands and quality. The bass is amazing, so is the output.

I'm considering removing the JBL CS 6x9 co-axial for 5.25" Alpines (Basic). I want simple sound, any suggestions on Alpines or other brands?
