I & My brother had bought a hardwire kit from NEXDIGITRON to power up our Blaupunkt dashcam. The 70mai kit has three leads, Constant +ve for parking mode, a +ve for ACCESSORY and the ground. Since we didn't need the parking mode, we connected the ACC and ground to the fuse and ground points on the car, but it didn't power up the camera. In troubleshooting this we tried the constant positive and negative using bench power supply and that also didn't work.

Thinking we may have a bad kit, we reached out to NEXDIGITRON support who in course of troubleshooting asked to connect the constant positive and test. That didn't work, but the kit started working when both the ACC and constant +ve was connected to a 12V power.

Happy that this is how the kit worked, we were wrapping up the conversation when the person at the other end of NEXDIGITRON support started this:

What went on beyond that is terrible to say the least with NEXDIGITRON support accusing us of wasting their time, name calling and saying we were using a $10 local dashcam instead of a branded one. I have all the screenshots of the conversation. I wonder why they even provide support when they talk trash to customers who seek their help.

Please be aware of purchases from them, while we did not have a problem ordering and our orders were delivered promptly, calling their support has revealed that they are just not interested in offering help and will attempt to talk negative including trying to name call you. Getting any sort of warranty claims also is going to be a task.

Sharing this for the information of this community and exercise caution when dealing with this business.

Apologize for the back to back post, but here's another one from their support person

This is quite unprofessional. Not acceptable when you are sitting on the service desk. Even if they get irritated due to some misunderstanding, such language when dealing with clients is unacceptable.

I advice you to reach out to customer care number and raise a complaint looping important contacts from the brand if available to put a check on such arrogance. This is so unprofessional of them ignoring the very fact that their existence is purely to support the needy customers. That is why they are getting paid! Disgusting to the peak.

On the very same day, Me & my brother wrote a proper complaint in a professional tone, printed, signed, attached a printout of the Whatsapp conversation and sent it to their corporate office address. We hope they will take some action.

When the interaction had turned sour, I mentioned to the trash talker that I will advise exercising caution when dealing with NEXDIGITRON to our communities. That very moment, he started deleting his messages, but bad luck for him, we had already captured the conversation and even quoted him back on many of those messages.

If the corporate responds, I will share an update here.

I have the Blueskysea B1W from Aliexpress bought in 2018. The camera still works, however, I am unable to connect to the camera from the app after moving to iPhone 15. Not really sure if there is an updated app or I need to reset something in the camera.

Anyone with Blueskysea B1W faced similar issue and what needs to be done to get the app connect to the cam again?

I’m planning to install a dual channel dash cam in my car and was wondering how challenging it is to do it on my own. For the front camera, I believe it might be relatively straightforward, but I’m concerned about the rear camera installation. Does installing the rear camera require running cables through the car’s interior, and how complicated is it to hide the wires properly? Would it be better to consult a professional technician, especially to ensure no damage is caused to the car’s trims*or*electricals?

Rear camera installation is not as straightforward as the front one. There is no harm in taking professional help. I DIY the front one on my Creta but took help when I wanted to add rear cam later. I was not confident that I would be able to do a clean job routing and concealing it around boot and rear. Small price to pay for peace of mind.

I always thought the same until I had multiple issues with external installers. Some installers were great, but regardless almost all of them do it fast and sometimes rush because it is a business for them. In those one or two odd instances, something breaks and then you are up with a problem.

Since then, I have maintained that getting a good installer is always a 50:50. It may not necessarily be a clean installation every time because problems may surface sometime later and by then you may have even forgotten about it.

So, exercise caution, sometimes DIY is always a peace of mind since you know what exactly you are doing or have done.

Makes sense.

I went to a shop recommended on Google and also by someone I know. They knew what they were doing and did it perfectly within 15 minutes without any heart burns :) As a precaution, I had seen many DIY videos so had some idea what has to be done. I was not sure of my skills to tuck wires at the right places hence needed help.

There aren't many options with a super capacitor and Starvis 2 sensor. If you do a lot of night driving, Starvis 2 will be better for capturing number plates

First thing first:
Delhi temperature soars near to 45C in May June. Is Capacitor based dashcam mandatory for Delhi? This is outside temp, if car is exposed to sunlight for long hours, then temp inside a closed car would be even more I believe (I may be wrong).

I need an honest and expert advise on above whether to look for Capacitor based dashcam only or can also look for battery based dashcams. Please suggest!!

When you are spending lakhs in a car, another 3-4k more will give you peace of mind! Why leave it to chance?

Just fyi, I have bought a dashcam online, and the showroom guys agreed to fit it at nominal cost. Comes with peace of mind.

Thanks and 3-4k is not an issue but main problem: there is absolute different range of dashcams between capacitor and battery based models with varied features. So its very imp to know if capacitor is mandatory or not in Delhi. After that I can explore and compare the models according to my budget (13-14k). For example: Starvis2 based Dual channel Capacitor based models are limited and expensive, while there are so many Battery based models with Starvis2. So first info I need if I look only Capacitor based models or Battery based also fine?
