I am looking for a reliable dash cam that runs on the ciggerate lighter port. Recording quality doesn't need to be amazing, I'm just looking for an economical and reliable option. Any suggestions?

All dashcam runs with USB and most of them comes with Cigarette lighter adapter.

70Mai, Qubo, DDPAi all are reliable, you can go for base model from these brands, like
https://www.amazon.in/70mai-M200-Ape.../dp/B0CV86K3QQ
https://www.amazon.in/Qubo-Channel-E.../dp/B0CGQXY29P

All of them are less than 5000 rupees.

Looking to get dual dashcam installed on my Virtus GT. The location is Pune. Preferably in bibwewadi or surrounding areas. Any recommendations? Thank you.

Hello,

am also in the market looking for installing a Dashcam in my car. How is the quality of Woodman. See lots of ads for the same. Whether worth going for this?

i stay in BSK and the below recco is good for me too. i can also plan to get the cam installed from them.

Quoting myself, I got this installed at Car decor, Jayanagar. They charged me 1500rs as installation charges. Though steep, but looking at the neat job they did I am ok with paying the amount.

Coming to the dashcam, I was apprehensive of the brand but I see that it does a pretty good job for the price. Package comes with 2 dashcams (2.5kfront and 1080p for rear) & hardwire kit. Quality is pretty decent and the videos can be downloaded using wifi through phone or from the sd card with loop recording capability. I am yet to download any of the videos but will share it once I do to check the quality.

Would they do only installation? I have a dashcam set that I need installed.

Thanks.

I bought a DDPai Z40 dashcam from nextdigitron last year, but postponed buying the hardwire kit and CPL filter. Now these are not available on the site anymore. I found the hardwire kit on dashcameras.in but not the CPL filter.

Can I use some other brands CPL filter?
If someone can tell me the size of the filter, can I use a generic one?

For Z40 you cannot buy and fix a CPL filter, as it is not user fixable. You have to contact Nexdigitron, they had the service to fix it for you. If the service is still available, ship it to them and they would fix the CPL and return the dashcam.

I am looking to buy a dual channel dashcam on our Honda City. With the upcoming online website sales like amazon and flipkart, could someone guide me to the best options available at a budget of around Rs. 10000/-.

TIA

Any suggestions for a dashcam upgrade from my 6 year old cam. Looking for something:
1. Around 12k price
2. Supercapacitor based only
3. Dual channel preferred although can use my current cam for rear view use too
4. Will be hardwiring it to start on ignition like currently
5. Capture 30fps and clear night view

Is DDPAI N5 Dual my best option? Or should i get viofo a119 and use my current cam for rear glass ?

Checkout 70 mai A500/510/800/810 cams depending on budget and offers.

Anyone using Viofi A229 with vehicle with near vertical windshield like Jimny or Thar?
I am planning to purchase for jimny.

Viofo has launched their new dashcam model A329 with new features and priced at $399 on their global website. It should land on their Indian counterpart soon, albeit with a higher price tag.

- 4K 60FPS (front)
- Wifi 6
- SSD support upto 4TB
- External display support
- USB 3.0 port

I have a Vifo a129 duo and it works quite well.
Rgds, Balaji

I'm looking to upgrade my existing Blackvue 900s a 4K dual-channel dashcam thats almost 7 years old. There's no major problems as such, but the video quality of the front camera seems to be like a 1080p recording, for example: the number plate information isn't very crisp, even though the camera is set at the 4K high resolution - not sure if the camera has gone bad or some software related issue.

I've looked at the ones from 70mai and they seem to be very decent, and almost half the price of the Blackvue. I'm just concerned about the quality of the camera itself, and how does it fare in hot weather conditions. Would the internal battery cause any heating issues if the car is parked out in the sun for too long? Are there any super-capacitor based dashcams available in India?
