oh wow, i have
almost every song listed in this thread. It's funny even though im halfway accross the world from most of you that music tastes remain constant
i have a great collection of audiophile type demo discs and ive snapped a quick pic of the ones that are not in the car right now and most of these are what i basically use to tune and also demo the car
listing the discs ive pictured here (from left to right in each row)
1) the eagles - hell freezes over (has the live acoustic version of Hotel California)
2) Mission impossible - original soundtrack (german pressing)
3) Chesky - ultimate demonstration disc
4) sheffield/coustic setup test disc
5) Iasca disc (one of the many that i have - this one is from 1990)
6) telarc sampler
7) Alan Parsons - sound check - engineering disc
8) sheffield drive
9) Dave Grusin - a sheffield recording which has the most width you will ever experience in a car sound demo, it actually sounds like the recording way extends past the boundraries of the vehicle with this one
i love music and as i have said i have many many more demo discs and music on my computer and a lot of it is all collectors items and import recordings and bsides for demo i even enjoy listening to all types of music while im driving or even sitting at home and listening to my music through my home entertainment setup

These are like my favorites and I use them to test the bass, mid and also you could make settings on your equalizers based on these... if you dont have them.. get them... they are definitely worth it !! :thumbs up

Got to mention a CD I have - I'll let the contents of the CD explain why I think this is a great CD to test and tune any audio system ... moreso in the closed confines of a car ...

This was a collection created and sold by a local store in Singapore that I picked up more than 10 years ago. Am not sure it is available commercially or on the Net for download. Did search on the Net briefly, came up with a blank.

There's this number called 'Marudhaani' from the Tamil movie 'Sakkarakatti' by A.R.Rehman.
The song's a masterpiece, I tell you.
Mine would be Bhavayami by Sharreth, his voice resonates from subwoofer through my car.
And MTX Jackhammer Test song which really shake my subwoofer!
