see, thats the best part about ICE, loving to spend others money....i came here with a budget of 6-7K more than a year back; upgraded and stayed.

on a pretty serious note, this becomes a vicious circle. pehle tweeter, then comps, then amp, reh gaya sub, then woh bhi, then wires, then confusion for brands....and so on.

i would recommend going to a decent car accessory shop, listen to both "only tweeter" and "comps" option and then decide.

u might like to audition desi TS20; they are good for the kinda money that u spend and always have the option to upgrade; they would also solve your purpose of getting just highs.

Desi or phoren, I'd recommend you listening to the tweeters in a car (preferably your own) before deciding. If you have heard it in someone else's car before, and that is making you say that, then please think: the other guy may have had an amp with it (forget the brand for the moment) and may have also set Treble to MAX.
At a pinch, maybe setting treble higher in your own HU may satisfy you, if you have not tried that.
Also, trying means listening different sources - different CDs, different FM programs, etc. - many times to find out whether what you have is really lacking.

Consider this:

2 speakers + 1 sub : 4 channel;
2 speakers : 2 channel;
4 speakers : 4 channel;
only sub and 2 speakers from HU: 2 channel

better would be to go in for a 4 channel (future udgrade). You may want to consider JBL 75.4 or Pio 6200. both are good; u'll be better off (sound wise)with JBL though!!

I think the first thing you need to do is bring those numbers as close to ZERO as possible.
