what watts do u have on ur 2 channel amp. believe me 150 watts RMS cannot power any sub to its full potential. i have tried 3 amps of 3 different makes. finally i landed up selling everything and buying jbl 75.4 amp. 284 watts RMS.
it makes a world of difference

I am using Panasonic CY-PA2003U Amps. The specs are as follows:

RMS Power (4 Ohms): 200 x 2 Watts
Power at 2 Ohms: 600 x 2 Watts
Bridged Power: 1200 Watts
Bass Boost: 0-15dB
Channel Operation: 2
Signal-to-Noise: 85dB
Frequency Response: 10Hz-30kHz

I guess in Bridged mode 4 Ohms RMS would be 350+

Don't build a Bass Reflex box. And Amit, I have time and time again tried to explain that your box is NOWHERE close to what a Bass Reflex box from JBL is. If you do not believe me, please open the box to see what is inside. They are cheap after market lookalikes and the similarity ends there. Most people on the forum would always prefer to put the sub in a sealed enclosure.

mohang_j, PM Sam Kapasi for details of enclosure options for the JBL CS1204. He will provide you with the exact enclosure dimensions for your sub.

No, please don't even think about that! Get a sealed or ported box made of MDF.

Poona motors / Music corner have these ready made sealed enclosure by Bassworks / BaassFx retailing for about Rs. 1,500/- for 12" subs. They also have a terminal plug making it easy for removing your sub when you have excessive luggage.
