Nice one Ajay. Now the cost of the setup is justified. Btw the Illusion Carbon's are beautiful looking speakers. The Stegs are so small that one wouldn't mind an underseat installation. Great show and great pictures although you used your 7 MP phone cam .

"Ek jhalak dikhlayeke kar gai pagal moye. Kar gai pagal moye. Kar gai pagal moye!" has been ringing in my mind all this while.

B&T-bhai, how much do each of these mohinies set one back for?

Carry on, Doctor!

Reminds me of another very lonely young eligible soul wasting his time selling tires in the NCR region, who could do with some attention.

That is awesome work with the door panels! They look as good as stock, if not better.

Two thumbs up! Fantastic install!

Can we have some reviews about Steg+Illusion combo please????

Well in Lay Man terms, the combo really sounds fantastic even without the processor. But I do know that it will sounds much much better with the Processor.

The wait for the H650 is delayed for another 2-3 weeks as its not availiable ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD even though USA & Europe Alpine Websites say that they are now availiable.

Therefore I am installing the H701 Processor temporarily tomorrow.

To fine tune my System a bit more further I have called for the Autosound 2000 Audio Test Discs from America. I should get them in 3-4 days.

Nice pics B&T. Pucca drool maal! (Except for the frame of that 8" midbezz . Reminds me uncomfortably of a spider -- I'm $h1t-scared of them!)

I thought the pods for the midranges in the front doors (and so most of the panels on the front door) were fiberglassed. The installers have done a really good job.

Nice work Ajay.

Just wanted to ask you that did you give any support to Nd8 from the metal panel of the door or it is just taking the plastic doorpanel as support. How did you manage to isolate the 5" midrange from getting affected from the back wave of 8" midbass.

Thanks JB.

No, the ND8 is not supported in any way by the door frame, neither is the rear wave of the 8" routed into the door cavity. But the ND 8 is a very light driver for an 8", also the panel is highly stiffened. Even with the 8" playing full range there is no vibration in the door panel.

Isolating is a problem because there is a huge opening in the center of the door frame which could not be covered with the damping without the damping sagging or standing the chance of sticking to the window winder. So even if the 8" is isolated at the point of insertion, the rear wave still makes its way into the area formed between the door panel and the frame.

B&T one solution to reduce the backwave of the ND8 from affecting the ND5 is to use something like the XTC foam boxes (see Crutchfield for photos).
