Navin,
i have a similar question,
Current setup : 4" BOSCHMANN are installed in doors, sound quality is good for light music only & that too when fader is adjusted.Rear is 6"x9" 4-way pioneer.HU pioneer 3850

I need decent sound in front but with minimum investment.
Should i go for comps.

I hope these things will sound much better than regular 4" coaxials, any comments on this?
Bass&Trouble sir, whats your opinion?
Its a well-built 4" component with a 0.75" alumninium dome tweeter, you could power it with an amp also.

As for sounding better, esteem_lover is installing a pair of 5.25s from the same range in his car, maybe you could listen and decide yourself.

My company has no representation in Chennai, the only way to get a set would be courier from Bombay.

Sorry breezy, BOSCHMANN is a local thaka hua chinese brand. It's not good even for the light music.

suggest opting for front comps for better SQ or at least coax.

Comps wd cost you around 4-5K; Coax between 2-4K

if you can go for compos. ALso try powering it with a good amp. I use 6000F to power my 4inch GTP426.

sk456 has a PIO GM 6150F for sale.

As a rule the one thng that is missing from most front speakers is bass. So I would try to shoe horn the biggest good front speakers you can find. What I mean to say that in most cases a 5" coax (of the same class) will be more useful than a 4" component.

After all quantity of bass is a function of air moved and a 5" has almost 50% more surface area than a 4".

Not knowing what car you got, I would recommend a 5" or 6" coax the cheapest listenable coax I know of are the JBL CS series. Then again this is according to my ears.

The point as Navin said is that you shouldnt repent from spending this much on 4inch compo and then go buy a bigger compo.

The price is 4990/- with B&W

I work for the company that sells it, so I could organize for it to be couriered.
