Anyways, your answer: By FBs account of the installation at Alpine, they did NOT test other locations before putting a hole through the door panel. Plus the way the components were installed earlier tell you how much the installer was capable of. Like I mentioned earlier, the crossover were kept inside the door and they were damaged for no apparent reason. I have also seen other work by the same shop and they are average at best.

During our tests, we found the optimal tweeter location to be just slightly off (by an inch or so) from where they cut the hole. But now since the holes were already there, and the difference was not huge, we went with the existing holes. Though if the A pillar or sail panels sounded better, we would have found a way to beautify (hide) the existing holes.

Gunbir, you know me better than to assume that I would want to start a sqaubble. I was just inquring as I wanted to know how you came to the conclusion that the installer arrived at the tweeter location by accident and not by design. I have always admired your installs and the effrot you put into them.

The explanation in bold above is adequate.

Damn I always forget to get pics of the doors.

Hellie, these are one model later than what you have. Of course now there is a third version out.

Sir, in this case please get Gunbir married. We cannot take his jokes anymore. -
Signed by Sam, Mukul, Jasdeep and the rest of New Delhi.

Edit: Let me give you an example. After working for close to 13 hours straight, we are all bleary eyed and tired. Jasdeeps back is killing him, I am dying of sleep and Mukul is just tired. Gunbir has also been working really hard. There is silence and all you can hear is the sound of cabling, wiring and the fitting of speakers in the evil twins.

Gunbir: I need a drill, who has the drill?
JB: One second, I am doing something.
Gunbir: (At 4 in the morning) Drill chahta hai... lalalala - (sung to the tune of Dil Chahta hai)

Sir please get him married.

Maybe we should put Gunbir in Marketplace.

For Sale: Eligible Groom, excellent at audio installs, loves butter chicken, and guaranteed to keep you laughing even when you are too sleepy and tired to care! :-)

Gunbir, I am sorry if this is too much, please blame Sam for all this he started it *pointing my finger at Sam and said with the voice of a 5 eyar old*

Butter chicken is already taken. Our man is strictly steak (I think he ate a mad cow, blame that for his jokes) and sql.
