Lets see, its coming soon I think. How about an AB in your car. I suspect you may like the Kenwood more.

Kenwood does make some rather nice HUs. Still I would compare them to Clarion, Alpine, Pioneer and even JVC before considering them.

Navin Ji few of my close friend have Kenwood 2-din dvd HU in there cars. I never liked there sound. Even convinced one friend to give away his 70k latest DVD hu for older single din screen pop-out one. Problem faced in these dvd ones were that the imaging was not coming proper. One cannot tune to have proper stage. I have faced in two of there model. And one was the highend wala with bulit in 5.1 decoder.

I was only refering to the 1DIN HUs. Have you got any experience with the 2008 or 2007 1 DIN HUs from Kenowood?

As far as 2 DIN HUs go I am still to find one that has tactile buttons. Almost all of them have touch screens and monitors that are hard to read in direct sunlight. I think manufacturers are putting too much emphasis on the size of the screen and too little on usability/readability. I really like the way Eclipse's TOM TOM HU functions with the small removable screen (but am still to hear these HUs).

Eclipse AVN2210p CD receiver with detachable TomTom portable navigator (red illumination) at Crutchfield.com

"At any time TomTom screen can be changed between the audio display (radio frequency, CD track/time/text, iPod menu, etc) and the navigation display (map, menu, etc)."

Where in chennai did you find that model?? I was looking for it but could not find it anywhere. A kenwood authorized deaer(as per kenwood india web site) told me that higher end kenwood HU's dont sell and so they dont have them. So much for an authorized dealer.

I'm very curious to know it's price.

Please use this before buying. This feature is simialr to that on the Apple phone. You get a vibration everytime you press a button but this is not even close to the tactile feel of a button (button edges, etc..). I wish these HUs had smaller screen and introduced buttons & knobs for atleast the common features (FF, REW, Vol, fader, etc..).
