Beautiful. The amp really looks nice, waiting for your review about the amp in comparison to the 1004.

Any other upgrades to go with the amp?

The MRP of the AMP is 25K, I'm planing to run my setup without any sub and power all my 4 speakers with the AMP. Later i would have to hunt down on a SQ sub, and may be a mono.

The CA470 is in !!!

Yesterday I installed to CA470 and the Kappa rear speakers, Right now i have removed the sub woofer. The amp is powereing all the 4 kappa speakers. I have listened to the setup just for 2 hours.. so there is no detailed review.

But the difference between the 1004 and the CA470 could be felt very well. the SQ of the amp is just amazing. The same song when played on both the amps sounds very different. Since there is no Sub-woofer, i'm missing the lows a bit. Dont know how long i have to wait before i get a sub woofer. I will give a detailed review after a while. here are the pics from the install

The CA470 is in

your rear speakers should be aligned so that the mid and tweeter are mirror imaged and are firing at the listener instead of the rear glass.

I'm still running my setup without a sub-woofer, So here is a short review of the CA470 in comparison to the 1004

The 1004 is a very powerful amp, the output when using the 1004 was bright. The Kappa components hit the highs and mids really strong, but were a bit harsh at very high volumes

With the CA470 the bass is so good and so accurate. There is almost no distortion even at really high volumes. They speakers sound so natural now. They get really loud and still stays crystal clear, does not miss a beat. The power output of the amp is lesser on paper compared to the 1004 (85W RMS x 4 compared to 100W RMS x 4 at 4 ohms) but still i find this amp equally powerful to the 1004 in terms of output. The clarity after adding this amp is just amazing. It's now more the way i like it.

Though I'm not having a Sub-woofer in my setup, I get enough bass from the Kappa 6X9 being powered by the CA470 which i could live with still I get a good SQ sub-woofer and a mono to match the current setup!

Couple of days back I have added the Ipod adapter KS PD100 to my HU, Now I'm able to play quite a lot of music along with all the lossless M4A files on my Ipod. the speed & the quality of the music from the Ipod is excellent, now I can get the ACD kind of quality without having to worry about changing the CD's. I should say it's a good value addition as I had quite a lot of music on my ipod. Navigating is a bit different as it resembles the Ipod controls on the screen, i should get more used to it.
