Does this remote has volume buttons at the back similar to the Pioneer steering remote? And what's the difference between TS99/MPR999 and TS200?

Frank, i am stuck mate. I have a chinese made dvd head unit. The paring failed on my first try. Only three buttons got paired. What could be the problem.I have done exactly the way the manual had mentioned. Does this work only with branded H.U. Bit worried.

There are no volume buttons on the rear. All controls are in the front, as in the picture. You have to pair them to the desired buttons of your regular hand held remote.

Greenhorn, pls dont put salt on my wounds mate. I guess it conflict of two langauges, chinese H.U and korean remote...LOL. Wondering which one should i learn or the best thing is get a branded H.U, thats again salt and chillies on my wound, as Vitamin M is also involved.
I have a better idea mate, just give me your branded H.U and you take my chinese one.
Jokes apart, if it is not working with all tries, i shall put it up for sale in the classifieds, as I alreday have a pioneer steering wheel remote, which came of my initial Mp3 H.U.

Fitting remote on Safari 2.2 VTT

Gentlemen,

Can someone confirm if this remote (TS-99) clips nicely on Safari steering wheel?

I think Safari 2.2 has unusually thick 4 spoke wheel with little space at 9' o-clock hour position (on LHS).

Since, it has already been confirmed here that unit works- I do not worry about its compatibility w/ Safari's OEM Alpine DVD HU. My worry is about fitting on the wheel and how IR beam would see the sensor on the HU.

Appreciate, if someone can post a pic of safari w/ this remote on the wheel.

Many thanks in advance,

-BJ

It has a pretty long band which can be wound on any kind of steering. Do not worry.

Does your OE Head unit come with a remote.
If not, then this device would not work.

Yep. Make no mistake of underestimating TML and Safari VX 4x4
It is Alpine DVA 9861, I think.
