IMHO ICEing that lancer when it has such a sweet sounding engine is quite redundant. And a Video Touch screen HU is quite redundant. You might as well get some Monitors to put some in your rear head rests

Now for the long story in connection with the HU.

As discussed earlier, we had zeroed in on the 502 and started work on the car. But some bulb flashes here there, some phone calls and the thoughts of a lighter bill...... We decided to go ahead with a 9887!
Wait!!! Did I say lighter bill.....????
There was something else waiting. The money saved from this decision was actually going to be used for something BIGger in the sub department.

All happy and me grinning away to glory with a better sounding setup minus the BLING!!!

Yesterday, April 29, 2009;
I get another phone call from Emperor. This time it was Anish.
"Good news!! Your 502 has arrived." I am yet to completely swallow the sentence....
"Bad news!! Zuhemi doesn't want to install it" He finishes in one breath.
I go blink blink and then....
"I will speak to Zuhemi and call you back" I tell him and dials for Zuhemi.

Another big round of discussion, debates, comparisons, calculations and finally we come to a point where every BHPian ICEr has been to. Let's add both!!
Yes, the BIG sub stays with the 502!! I am poorer by 15k odd.....

Now, the IVA 502 is waiting to go in!! Hope there won't be any surprises ahead in this.

After using Alpine 9887, I have vowed never to go for Pioneer. The SQ is magical!!

Congrats for getting an Alpine.

Amps was a factor we never did a discussion upon. I mean; there wasn't any DDD (discussions, debate, drooling) on this subject.

The fact is that I had picked up the amps about 2 years back. I almost lost them, then somehow managed to get it in my grips. Everyday, I used to do a dust and shine on my way to the office and it always stayed in my bedroom. Those who have visited my house knows very well that how much I loved them. Time has come to install them.

The LRx Classics: Great amps! Though I knew about them, you'd given a clue as to which amps were going in, in the iVA502 photo. We can see one of the LRx amps in the background. Good to see them getting back in action!

I can guess which sub is going to be fed 900w RMS at 1 ohm

They aren't. Qualis had my old Blaupunkt M4a amp.

These were always kept as a special treasure.
