Dear Gurus,

Will rainbow components make it to the Top 10 if reviewed today?

Thanks!

I think some top DLS and Dynaudios will break into this list too.

How does that matters?

Maybe top 10 list of components that are legally available here in India through authorised sources along with their prices would definitely benefit a larger audience. Even if the order of ranking could vary from person to person due to subjectivity, I'm still sure that a top 10 list would in general cover quite a comprehensive set of quality speakers.

Then, please be a darling, and atleast mention the specific model.
How can you just say 'Rainbow components'?

How is the performance of the JBL 608c components ? Are they good.
And I know this is the wrong thread but what are your thoughts on the JBL GT5 644 4 ch amp ?

And also please direct me to a thread on the 644 if it exists .

i'd say there should be a list of best 10 component 6.5" within the range of Rs.10,000/-
and another within the range of 15k or what so ever.

Some CDT Audio needs to get added to the top 10 list. Polk Db series is not even close to being one of my best choices, the old Infinity Kappas were really good, but am somehow very disappointed with the new latest 2009 onwards Kappa components, somehow they just sound very loud, and not that clear.
The JBL Power series compos are really neat, however need a decent amp to get them to life.
JL Audio makes some good speakers, but each series sounds very different from the other, they don't follow a pattern (as far as my ears go...).
Focal from what I am seeing now is a bit on the brighter side, but each has his own taste when it comes to treble. The new drop down pricing compared to the MRPs makes Focal a good buy in Bangalore at least
Among Value for money, stuff like MBQuart, Hifonics, Hertz, Rockford (Prime Series) are really good.

All of us have differnt taste but the usual suspects under 10K/pr are JBL, Blaupunkt, Bull, Illusion, Ground Zero, Infinity, Boston, Polk, DLS, Rainbow and Alpine - you can arrange the in any order you like and will still be able to rationalise your decision.
