The song is "Voodoo people" by Prodigy. It's off the Album, "Music for the Jilted Generation", their second album I think, after "The Prodigy Experience" and before "Fat of the land"
And the truck, well the rules don't allow expletives, but really ya, these russian JBL guys have set the madness goal now too high for us. hehehe

Guys, as you know that i am looking out for a 4 channel amplifier
My current system is
Alpine 9857
JBL GTO 936
Kicker EX-4.2 (4 inch components)- 35w rms(70w peak)

My options are-
Alpine MRV 240 for 10.4k
JBL GTO 75.4 for 13k
Pioneer 944 for 13k
Soundstream 260.4 for 12k

Now guys i am looking for an amp to power my 4 existing speakers. Priority is SQ and not SPL. I do not want a very powerful amp as i am scared it would over power my 4 inch kicker components, atleast that is what i feel, maybe . Guys please help me out in this respect. I would like to know more 4 channel models of Alpine with their respective prices if possible. My budget for the amp is upto 17k.

And last but not the least how does the PIoneer 944 compare with the the JBL GTO 75.4.

Cheers

having only heard 2 of the 4 (JBL and Alpine) I would prefer the Alipne if I was only driving 4 satellites and wanted a relaxed sound. If I wanted to rock the JBL would make better sense. It is more balsy.

The 944 is a well reputed amp. I have heard the 6100 and prefer the 75.4 for the 6100 but the 944 might be another beast. Maybe Gun, JB or Sam etc. can help.

However ever since Sam got his photo taken for AV Max (representing Harman Kardon HT/AV reciever and JBL's On Stage Ipod player) he has gone AWOL. See what fame and fortune do! :-) LOL just kidding Sam.

Thanks Navin for you valuable comments, So JB, Gunbir, Sam and others, could you please tell me which amp should i go in for? I want to know if there are any other 4 ch amps by alpine other than the 240 which you would recomend. How about the Alpine MRV-340? How much does it cost in Mumbai? This amp would be to power my 4 inch front components Kicker(35w rms) and rear co-axials JBL (100w rms) only, Priority-SQ .

Also i need a comparison urgently between JBL GTO 936 and the Pioneer 944 to drive 2 boxed subs(JBL GTO 1000B's) coz my uncle is gonna send me one of these amps from Dubai.

I am sorry if i am sounding desperate , but i need to make a choice soon. Please help

The 340 is discontinued.

I assume you mean JBL 75.4 not the GTO 936.

To power the 2 x JBL GTO 1000B I'd use a mono sub amp such as the JBL 300.1/301.1 instead of a 4 ch. amp unless ofcourse the 4 ch. is already available.

Oh yes, i am soo sorry, i meant the JBL GTO 75.4 and not the JBL GTO 936 .

I know navin that the alpine MRV-F340 is discontinued but i saw it in my accessories shop the other day and they said that the MRV-F345 which has replaced the 340 is not available in india. MRV-F545 is way out of my budget. So what i wanted to know is that is there a significant difference between the 340 and the 345? Should i go in for 340 or will the MRP-F240 suffice for my speakers?

the 340 is 55W the 240is 40W. I would say for most purposes the 240 will suffice unless you get the 340 for the same price.

I know it's pretty late in the day to ask this question !!

But I'd be grateful if you 'audio gurus' give me some links to sites which give a simple theorotical explanation to audio terms like co-axials, component, 2 & 3 way, cross over, soundstage etc.
I would like to clear some basics of mine.

Thanks
