The tap-in connectors (pic posted by RSJ) are fine. Usually available from brands like 3M. Mostly used to tap wire and connect to the other wire.

Can also be used for joining two wires. Make sure the connectors are tight so that wire should not come out.

I prefer soldering with heat shrink tubing...more secure.

The 3M connectors I have seen are ok. I am not sure how they will hold up under stress though.

Pricol does not specialise in Speakers. I would stick to companies that atleast stick specialise in audio.
Hehe, I think I just read a post where you said you have a child who keeps you occupied and I realised maybe I should drop the baba and show a little respect, considering your age, But truth is we use baba as a term of endearment amongst our friends circle so guess it came out subconsciously

About the Xenos, I wasnt even considering it as an option, hehe. That too after being a Team-BHPian, would be sacriliege. LOOOOOOOL.

Nah I was just surprised. I have been called everything from Old Man to Navinji to Navin Saab. Navin Baba was new to me. Navin does just fine. I have noticved that those from North India tend to use Navinji and even their hindi is very polished unlike mine.

No BABA, why? It's general ICE knowledge. No, expensive wires LOOK expensive, but not belden. In fact the 12 gauge wire is dull grey and slightly twisted, prompting even enthusiasts to think it's electrical wire.
Me, I'm a great fan of Belden (VFM) and Van Den Hul (All out)
I think the 12 gauge belden costs about 150 or 160 bucks a metre.

Xenox. These are the guys who make the waterproof alarm remote systems. Part of DA na? Anyways i heard their speakers and they were alarmingly low qual.

Hi Sanjit and welcome!!

For 10K in a matiz... hmmm..

OK there are players by JVC, Sony and Pioneer for about 5 to 5.5K they are pretty decent.
For the front you will have to put a 4" co-axial speaker costing about 1.8 to 2.5K (you can get fronts, that are really good for 2.5K), it would be nice to buy speakers from JBL, Alpine etc instead of Sony (which according to most of us, makes rubbish speakers)

For the rear, you can install a pair of coaxial 6" speakers, or even a 6X9. Expect to spend between 3k to 4k for these. I recommend the same brand speakers for the front and the rear. This setup should put you back by about 11k (1000 bucks more, but worth it, trust me)

Enjoy your music friend, use it to relax your mind and forget the hustle-bustle of mumbai's busy traffic.

You can also use the music and mood to entice one or more young women into wilfully offering you her body.

At some point she may even offer you her spirit. (Women generally prefer white spirits like Vodka and gin)

In fact she may offer you her body because you offered her too much spirit. But that is for another forum.

Yes, they are selling the security systems.

Best part is the guy trying to sell it to me says, "Pricol, Italy, Famous, You can be guaranteed about the sound, you dont have to worry". Guranteed about what about the sound???????????

The other day I was checking out some shops for front windshield film install. I met a guy who was like, never sell my Pio X324 amp ( I wanted to sell and get more powerful 4 channel amp) and they small speakers ( those 6inch GTO606 compos!) should not be driven frm an amp as they wont take the load! Get a 6x9 with custom box etc! lol

This guy said he can get me a nice sub setup for about 18-20k( price with amp + sub + box) . And he was suprised me was that he said would get me a setup with super bass but the asub would be hidden! And when I asked how it was done he said its called a band pass setup! i was really suprised as i never expected him to knw that.

in a band pass setup the sub is not hidden. the woofer (driver) is. the sub box is usually very visible.

if I were you i'd have asked him what woofer he is using what order (4th order or 6th order) and what the Vf and Vb and port dimensions are.

It seems that band pass box would be bigger tahn ported and sealed box and also if design aint right, one could damage a sub!

Hmmm...I really only built 1 good bandpass box in my life. Peerless 831727 10" woofer. Vb was 45 liters, Vf 15 liters. 4th order. wierd I built this box about 15 years ago and I still remember it like it was yesterday and i cant remeber what I ate for lunch yesterday. Guys, dont consume any chemicals incl C2H5OH. Your brain will become mush like mine.

Now a 10" in 60 liters....hmmm... well a bandpass would be about the same size as a proted box atleast for this woofer. the advantages being a more efficient loading of the woofer the disadvantages being the quality of the bass.
