sorry to barge in, but its close to the topic you guys are discussing.SAM, i have a Infinity at the rear(ovals) and now going for components. should I go for a Infinity components to match my rear or can I go wtih an Alpine compo(if yes which model). My worry is the Infinity at the rear when paired wtih an Alpine compo should not sound different on the note..

Usually speakers of the same brand mate well...

Any comments on this?????

harmon (shouldn't that be Harman? :-) ), there are no hard and fast rules but if you want to play it safe infinity (esp if they are of the same vintage) would be a better match.

Sam, I am sorry to say you have to miss the party. Karan (Cooldude) is only 17 and not an age to legally drink with you.

Hey Navin,

Dint want the handle to sound like a brand man, so got the alphabets swapped

On the speakers, thanks for the input. NAvin, which amp would blend well with the Infinities?

I used to like Alpines but I'm told the later ones are not that good. My wife uses a Blaupunkt Velocity to drive her Infinities quite well.

Hi Dudes !

Hi all,
I' am new to this thread....Let me introduce myself first..
I' am a software engineer working for an MNC in Hyderabad...
Planning to move to Chennai within a month...

I know next to nothing about car audio systems....

I' am gonna purchase a Swift ZXi within the next 2 months (In Chennai)...

I need all your advice & suggestions for my Car audio system....

The details are as below...

* Budget: 25-30K

* I'll be driving the car 99% percent of the time

* Minimum extra fittings inside the car so that the interiors looks
decent after the setup

* Type of music to which i listen to:

40% - latest fast beat songs (filmi songs)
30% - melodies from films
30% - Pop & Hip hop (English)

Preference to a setup for which i get warranty & bill for all the system components...I guess that leaves me with only Sony.....Please Correct me if i'am wrong....

Can anyone suggest me a complete Sony setup which bests suits my kind of music & budget.....?

Is a all-Sony Setup good or Bad? (i' am not an audiophile & love a system which gives a healthy bass....not too much though)

Bye...
Senthil..
