how come TL is can not be registered as private vehicle ????? It is registered every other place in India as private , only the 207 DI can not be registered as private not the TL......tell me if I am wrong.
I spoke to to the Tata dealer near my place and he too says that it'll come at the end of the year......but if it priced 8 lac.....I don't think it'll be worth buying....... it'll be the same as in case of the TL they reduced the price of these by almost 1 lac....as no one is buying or very few taker at that price...starting was 5.66 for single cab 4x2 and goes up all the way to 8.55 lac for 4x4 crew cab...than I had a offer letter from the dealer saying prices have been dropped and a crew cab 4x2 for 5.66 lac and 4x4 for 6 lac, but than I was waiting for this one but big mistake on tatas side , they should have offered 2.2 liter from sumo grande at least, 120 bhp....and light engine ... I have driven the 207di when it's empty and rear looses traction mud roads and even on tarmac some times in the wet.... so it's the same engine with more power you do the math......
I hope TATA guys go through this forum....and do something about it....

Did some research on the Xenon - and this is the only Tata site I found having the Xenon as an available product : TATA South Africa - Cars. It has the 3.0 litre DICOR in SA market.

Tata has launched the Xenon in Thailand with the 2.2 Dicor Engine!

http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/intern...-thailand.html

It means that Tata now manufactures Xenon both in 3.0 (for SA) and 2.2 (launched in Thailand) variants!

ANy news/scoop when this might be launched in India ?? I want one!!

Xenon's face looks similar to that perception I got in Sumo Grande. Current Safari looks feminish from front compared to squared jaws /jowl of sumo grande/ xenon. But I like Safari more than Xenon's looks from front as well .

Although the grande and Xenon share a similar face, the proportions are different. The wheel arches, the bonnet height, the bumper depth, everything is different. Needless to say, the Xenon looks dashing, but can the same be said about the grande?

Fine this a is a great pickup and all but the TATA's seem to be unclear on the launch date. thier spokesman just says that this year it will be launched and thatz all to it, infact the one which was displayed at the Auto expo in delhi is a kickasssssssssss vehicle. It sure will rock the indian roads

This problem of not being able to register the TL presently exists only in Delhi, they had offered to get it done in Gurgaon. the TATA's are doing the same with Xenon what they did with TL, never spoke about it..... and killed it, now they want to replace it. but the sad state being neither is available.
Drove the TL.. feels good in the handling dept.... and like they say they are gonna launch the Xenon with 3.0 Dicor. then my guess is itz gonna be a great vechile...
But with the TATA's being being not giving out anything ,,, never know ..so i guess will just have to wait and watch

OKAY TATA MAN IF YOU READING THIS ..GET YOUR COMPANY TO READ THE THREAD.. IT WOULD HELP...

Do you mean that the TL [ or is it the 207DI]can not be registered in delhi or can not be registered as private plate, whats the reason for this, cause else where in the country it can be...may because of pollution something...in some bodies mind..

How true. Ideally, Tata can replace the Safari with the 4x4 version of the Xenon, and perhaps replace the Sumo with the X-over.
