This is a pretty common belief in India, but if you look closely then discovering the signs of a rear end shunt is not that difficult. Look at the panel gaps, paint finish (colour, smoothness). Badge or no badge you'll be able to make out.

The worst part about the local thief stealing them would be the rough manner in which they would remove the badges thereby causing scratches / scars on the butt of your beloved car.

Yes and that would not go down well with prospective buyers.

Particularly in Santros and Xings. That's why I love the badged rear of the Xing.

+1 Thats exactly what I've done. I was planning for a complete Debadge.

But the Suzuki 'S' & 'Ritz' logo looked nice to me hence I let the Ritz stay and the 'S' cannot be removed anyway as the plastic has the 'S' in an engraved fashion.

Looking Nice Maglev. Get the pillars blackened, tinting done, Chrome alloys and the car looks Bling.

Blackened Pillars & Tints would be coming up by the end of this week.

Won't be going in for alloys though, the steel rims with any OE wheel caps are fine for me.
