yup , thats a good low light lens . Next time , try using it and I am sure you can make out the difference

Thanks sir. Next time will try that when Im in the mood for some street and night photography. The 50mm images are crisp ive noticed.

Just finished the longest trekking I've done, 2 days & 50Kms on foot through Western Ghats to climb the Agastyarkoodam peak.

Sharing some photos taken during the trek. All taken with Sony SLT-A35, 18-55mm.

This is Agastyarkoodam peak as viewed from base camp @18.5Kms of walk. Peak is at 25th Kilometer, so about 6 more kms to climb that!

Wow, great shots. What kind of processing you have done to the first shot? Looks a little cartoonish, right out of Jungle Book.

Thanks Samurai.

The first shot is the result of dynamic range extracted from a raw file, but not with hdr processing. The original click was exposed correctly only for the top portion of the image. So, the bottom portion's exposure was bumped up to +1.00 or so, and this was blended with the original layer in Photoshop using a smooth gradient layer mask. Then some curves were done in PS itself.

I forgot to carry my CPL :(
