Portrait as in vertical framing? Yes, vertical frame without any cropping with 70mm focal length.

Sir you need to take class on Black and White for dummies. Esp. how to think black and white. For most of us (at least me for sure), Black and White is always a post facto.
For me its just playing with filters or knobs here and there to see if the look comes out alright. Need more lessons to learn.
