Re: The Official non-auto Image thread

Tigress, Tadoba. Canvas effect with GIMP, slightly desaturated. I processed the RAW file using Photoshop, Adobe Camera RAW really screws up some photos, not happy.

Re: The Official non-auto Image thread

Salvaged photo. Leopard peering through the undergrowth. 6.42 pm. Low key processing + canvas effect. Near dark conditions, the RAW/NEF file was almost black even using ISO 3200 on a D7100.

Looking at old photos while I plan my next trip. I might drive to Ranthambore. A 4500 km round trip from Bangalore.

The list of top 100 photographers in the world now has an Indian in 9th place. Interestingly, he is a BHPian too.

Mr. Sudhir Shivaram is one of the best wildlife photographers I have come across. Haven't got an opportunity to meet him yet, but hope I can do it soon Click Here for his website

Nice! Here is one from my side. But no wild life photography this! A simple snap at a temple with the humble 24-105.

One more.

A 11 image focus stack. Colours straight out of the camera/lens. Near zero colour and sharpness correction. I am just loving this 100mm Macro L. Its almost become my walk around lens!

Thanks.

I have the 430 EXII. But mostly have been shooting with natural light. This was in the balcony. The only challenge was to shoot all the element images of the stack in manual focus before a gentle breeze swayed away the subject.

But I have a fantastic ball-head along with a Manfroto and a wired shutter release which works very well in such cases.

Re: The Official non-auto Image thread

Practice shots with the new Nikon 200-500mm f/5.6. Need to get comfortable with it before my roadtrip next week.

Small cats for a change

I have uploaded high resolution files since these are test shots. The lens appears very sharp for a long reach telezoom. Catlovers might want to click on the files and click again to see the magnified version.

Stunningly razor sharp. Loved the contrast and natural colours as well. Suddenly my cat shots appear dull and soft.

Will wait for your log and big cats !
All the best and have loads of fun

Thanks. Your Tamron and D810 should be able to take sharper shots with better IQ
