@tsk nice colour rendition. Did you use a Polariser? or did you get those blues without ?
@gkrishna LOvely exposures. Very sharp. and very good colour reproduction. I wish the first one did not have the OoF leaves in the foreground. Lovely pics both.
Here is an album site of a fellow BHPian Dr.Deepak Rao. He has done some amazing work. CHeck it out

It wasn't that slow. I think it was somewhere between 80-90 part of a second. Light was very poor and I had to push it to 500ISO.

If I look at the picture after reading the thought, the picture is much more enjoyable. It is a beautiful picture IMHO.
Last week one day I woke up and looked out, it was very foggy. I kept shooting until the fog went away...

Good Pics Steer. try to post in slightly bigger size.
Folks here is another one from my Archives

PS:Nothing to write home about :D
Nice pic,Venkatesh!!
A lighter background would probably intensify the style & pollen grain of the flower. The Hibiscus is one of the best flowers to photograph..
:)
Venkatesh, the red looks too saturated.
@Nitin. Yeah. I agree.
@samurai san. OK. I did not PP this one at all and this is close to what i saw on the scene.
The light source is from the top left and slightly to my front(Short of backlighting). Maybe that caused the colours to show up brighter.
I think the overall effect got spoilt coz of the lack of DOF as far as teh petals were concerned. As I said this is a so so job . Nothin to write home about :)
Can somebody tell me what are these called? They're on my window grill. There's not much of dust there on the grill. Grill is not rusted. These are less than a cm in height. Interesting, and I need to know the name. :)
