Alrighty, a lil something from my side
I am planning to put this one on sale. Two months old and I don't this I ever used this lens. The pictures are not very good but my softbox is worse than a rudimentary setup.
This one was doing rounds in our garden yesterday. It was very sunny outside and I didn't have the patience to get a good shot.

The pics of your lens are very good. Looks like your softbox howmuch ever rudimentary is doing its job. Very good lighting setup. Correct me if am wrong (which is most probably) the 1st one has a direct top ligt. The 2nd one has all around reflected lighting right?
2nd one is also good for what is a difficult subject indeed. How did you get this one? Burst mode or one off?
Venkatesh thank you, but I think the Image is over saturated and burnt in some areas during the process of PP. (or may be because you worked on the low res Jpeg file).

Since its raining flower pics here:)..here are a two from my side..

Quite Possible. Maybe i overdid the contrast. Thanks for pointing out :)
Nitin. Lovely pics. Did you shoot the sunflower pic with sky bg or is it something you added in PP?

This one is surreal, how did you manage such a deep DOF on such a closeup?

Fantastic pics Nitin! Loved these two! Seems like your fingers healing nicely!
P.S. Care to email me high-res versions of the above two?

Thanks, iraghava. My finger's healing pretty slowly, and I'll do anything to speeden things a bit. Took some of these pics over the past weekend. The 1st one was taken in Corpus Christi in May,'07.We had rented a beach-facing condo, and this view was superb.
The 2nd one was taken this past weekend,at the Surfside Beach in Freeport. Wonderful weather, and the beach was pretty good too.
I'll send you pics right away.
@Raghav, nice pics. I quite liked them all. :)

Same case here!
And.. re-assured my trust in the S3IS. It has to be my cam (when i am buying one this year end)
@benbsb29, thanks..:)
@crazy Driver, thanks..S3 IS is simply a great camera to have...i would however recommend an upgrade, how about S5 IS? I think it would be best if you buy the latest member of the S* IS family.Just a thought..
