Tried this on Marina beach with canon photo stitch and basic PS work as a part of teaching myself post proccessing. Not very happy with results though.

What are things to keep in mind when taking images to stitch? Had difficult time correcting different exposures in the images. Heard of mirror lock, Please help on use.

Make sure you lock exposure(shutter speed and aperture).
No need for mirror lock unless your exposures are 1/5-5s in length, and a longish zoom is used

I dont find anything wrong with this pic. Everything is fine.
Things you need to remember before you start clicking pictures for panorama are
1. Try using tripod or make sure you pan in a straight line. Use horizon as the guide to keep paning in straight.
2. Try clickgin in Manual mode so that the setting wont change as you pan.
3. Use both PhotoStich and PhotoShop and check which one works better. for me PhotoShop works better.

Hope this helps.

Yes, please Rudraji, it would be great to see a small snapshot of the actual image with the processed one. Some of the amazing images you have shown has pushed me to learn processing. Taking some classes from my Bro.

But I have restrained myself and will now want to learn more on composing and getting the actual image right.
