@Mayavi, if only you had caught the bee with a yellow background ..
@redfire, beautiful snaps. Keep shooting.
@redfire, great composition, you have an eye for photography.
If not a DSLR, get a nice P&S with full manual controls and shoot away!
Hi Redfire,
That Kanyamumari picture has Vivekananda rock and the statue is of Thiruvalluvar, 2000 year old Tamil poet who wrote the epic Thiru-Kural... (not bahu statue...)

just joined, used to browse thought it when I get time. Same handle as in TBHP and others:)
wichu, what equipment do you use...err.. for taking pix.
JK bro, that 'equipment' is a modest Nokia N70.
Built in 1498 AD. Adalaj is between Ahmedabad & Gandhinagar.
The well is built in five levels, with steps leading down to the water. At the bottom, there are two wells - one at the bottom of the steps that lead through the levels, and another from which one can draw water from the top using the usual pulley system that we see on wells in villages.

Hi Tsk, Mans and Raja - thanks. It gives me a boost and courage to move furthur. Yes will definitely attempt more and more and will post here for your valueable feedback.
@tsk - yes, always try to stick to the manual options available in A510. Also used to play a little bit in some basic photo tools too. Anyway I think I can own a DSLR by next year, for sure.
@Raja - Sorry, I got it wrong, you are correct. It is Thiruvalluvar Statue.
Shot through aquarium glass. One
question on this?
Since light was low and slow shutter speeds could not be used (no tripod), and external flash could not be used (reflects back from the glass), only thing i could think of was to bump-up the ISO resulting in noise. Is there any other way to get over this situation?
