pic taken after sunset in Gandipet.:(no Photoshop used)
Very nice pic kkr2k2.
This was sighted in my office today, it had rather long tail which it constantly held high. It is different than the usual RHESUS MACAQUE. Does anyone know the right classification?
The image is very ordinary, shot from 100ft away using my backup camera E-500 and 40-150mm. The monkey was running away by the time I pulled the camera out. Any ideas about the species?

I think its a Langoor
I have heard that an infinite number of monkeys typing on an infinite number of keyboards can produce the entire works of shakespear.
If you can catch an infinite number of langoors, and install infinite number of PCs in office, the only raise you will need to give is an infinite number of bananas rl:
@Raj, i see a new signature and what are you doing about it?
Btw, thats a nice picture of the sunset. Is that using your Prosumer Fuji?
May be it heard we have job openings. So it ran away when I tried approaching it for an interview. Geez, freshies these days have too much option.:)
I've heard about TCS recruiters having similar experiences with monkeys in the early 90s when I worked there.

Yes sire. Thats all. You can see the date & time. So you can guess its taken in the manual mode. But forgot what were the settings.
Some more pics taken the same day, i will try to find them some where in the depths of my hard disk.
@samurai - that is a Hanuman Langur ( General classification : Semnopitheaus entellus )
More about it
here
I get to see a gang of these quite often in my locality. Some pics of the same are posted in post no. 2664.

Not to make fun of TCS......somebody said TCS in the early days had a board which said "Trespassers will be recruited".

I think you achieved the right effect via composition, so the technical stuff doesn't matter that much.
Here is one I tried as an experimental sunset pic, only it doesn't have the sun, instead has sun bathing weed.

Shot something similar on my Warangal trip.
