guyonblackybx: Nice images. First one is super! The previous set was nice too. Looks like a nice lens in the right hands

I would really love to see whats the best that can be made out of this pic.. can someone please make an effort?... Riju sir, Samurai sir?
As you have correctly guessed, the problem is in the composition. There is no point in trying to post-process a bad composition, so let's try to fix the composition if possible. Here is a try, it is quick and dirty though.

Its the cheapest lens in 500mm range. Am more than happy with the quality of pictures. I was just affraid if this could turn out like my another sigma 70 300mm at end of the zoom but the quality for this price is more than expected.

Did you just do a crop or was it something else as well?

Here are a few from Chandni Chowk a month and a half back.. again just a canon point and shoot.. with the amount of activity in chandni chowk its not always easy to get a good composition. Tried out some post processing.. please comment on how these can be made better.

Both are very good. Liked the first very much.

How much did that lens cost?

Mayank, composition should not be an afterthought. Cropping should be usually done to remove parts you couldn't avoid, but not to recompose.

I mean, would you paint something and then wonder what you painted? Would you make a speech and wonder what you spoke? Still, many people do that when it comes to photography, and I am not referring to tourist shots.

Snap shots or tourist shots have a purpose, to make a record of something or someone for eternity. That is an record, not art. Artistic shots are something else, there you are trying to convey something, a message of sort. Such images should evoke a response from the viewer. You can start with learning the rules of composition, then learn to break them. Rules are available over the Internet, google for them.

Regarding Chandni Chowk images, I really don't know how to improve them. In my opinion, composing people shots is most difficult of them all, very difficult to control the subject and you got to go with the flow. I don't usually try to compose people shots because I find it almost impossible. That's beyond my present skill.
