Thanks TheOne!
here is a pic of a scene that I know holds great potential for a brilliant sunset, but i've never managed to be there at the right time. one of these days....I shall get that sunset:). watch this space.

@ripper, i think you should start demanding a retainer from Kerala Tourism:)

So, when are you coming down?:)
here's another one from kerala, another rare,non-sunset pic.
allepey changanassery road.

it's been a while since I've visited the hills.so you guys are stuck with pics of locally available, coconut trees, skies and lagoons till september.:D

This is from saturday's Agumbe trip. I took it in a hurry since I was standing in rain. Shot at 1/20 sec handheld, this is where IS really helps.

somewhere in Indiana, along the Ohio river.

Here is one i clicked to capture the water droplets. My olympus C720 has a pretty limited macro mode. I could not get it to focus very well.

@deep bang- I like that image a lot. dont mind if I plagiarise the idea.:)

@Ripper - Feel free. I took the idea from the Net. What i did was to place a blue coloured bowl under the kitchen sink. Make sure you use the flash as you need to get a low shutter speed. The flash also reflects off the water drops and makes it look good.

I would have liked to go nearer and take just the splash on the whole photo. But, i am yet to try more experiments. Will try today if possible.

Guys basic rules of wild life photography. You should not use flash. Its so obvious that they get scared.

This is a really nice thread ! i am an absolute amatuer in photography.

I have a Panasonic DMC FZ18 and i am attaching below an photo i have taken during a recent trek to Savannadurga in bangalore . The camera supports RAW images also but this picture was taken in JPEG format.

I have done some minimal post processing using picasa thats all ...comments please my friends ....

Too much Blue, otherwise, a nice pic...

@hellstar
nice one. but noise is a bit high. noise ninja is supposed to be good for noise reduction. I use PS3 to reduce noise.

golconda fort sound & light show.

I look forward to your valuable critique of these photos. I did not have a stand with me so some snaps may have some camera shake.
