Here is the EXIF for it.

Focal Length 280 mm
ISO 200
Metering Mode Partial
Shutter Speed Value 1/80 sec

Impressive...I never thought a 70-200 can make the sun look that big compared to the objects in the horizon.

BTW, you have mentioned that the focal length is 280mm, how that's possible? Was your lens a 70-300 or something?

Thats because of the 1.6 crop factor when used on APS-C sized sensor. I had a 350D when I clicked this.

Confused... I too have a 1.5 crop factor in my cam, and when I take a picture using my 70-210mm zoomed at the tele end of it, EXIF will only show 210mm.

If you still calculate the effective focal length of 200mm with a 1.6 crop factor, it would be 320mm. But I believe Exif data will have 200mm.

Took this last weekend. The house is constructed in year 1836. This is where my father was born. Constructed totally on wood, later added more rooms using present generation construction. The wooden parts are still intact and maintained.

Exif: ISO 100, f/3.5, 1/125 sec, Focal length 18mm.

Sorry for missing it out earlier. I had a 1.4x teleconvertor also . My mistake not thinking about it. So its actually 200 * 1.4 = 280mm.

and you are successful in that.

I prefer the face to be in the middle though...

Hi BHPians,

A newbie here. Just found out this non-auto Image thread. So I thought of posting my not-so-professional images. I am still learning my latest hobby and growing slowly. I love shooting bugs/insects and flowers.

I have a Canon S3 IS and a Raynox DCR-250 macro lens.

My image gallery on flickr.

Posting some of my favorites.

I took this around 3 yrs back. I was experimenting with color swap in canon S2 IS, hence the green. It was my avatar for sometime. have not been able to recreate the mood again despite multiple attempts.
