Looks like some natural smoke around it. Reminds me of a horror movie scene !!

@Clevermax and Shajufx - Thanks a lot!! Well it's not actually smoke, I was hiding behind a flimsy one-ply wire mesh, and had just about managed to thrust my lens in the opening in between in a way that it did get into the frame, but got diffused in the process..

@Clevermax
Good job touching up!

@Nithin
Flowers always brighten up a gloomy day, like it did for me today!

Heres one from me, the Sony H50 did the job this time.

Check this out, I dont know how helpful it will be for you.
Here where I stay, the sun will be covered by the lunar shadow upto 84%. Then there could be a cloud cover due to the monsoon season. Going above the cloud cover at 40000 Feet is going to cost Rs.79000/-

In India the totality duration at its max is for 3 min & 47 sec. If only I could manage leave, then I had plans to go to Varanasi - it would've killed two birds with a stone; Total eclipse & visit to my native place.

Do you live somewhere in the path of totality, for this eclipse? that is North & North-east India... If you're in Gurgaon, you're going to see a partial eclipse only.

We down south can only see a partial eclipse :(

The ideal place in India to witness the total eclipse will be Patna.

Thanks CM, The combo is a 40D and a 100-400. The mist and the scenic surroundings made the subject completely worthless in the picture so added it
