@shajufx - My bad, I should have been more specific. It was taken by Jk from my Sony DSC H5 camera. But for your editing. What is next? Dasappan Kathakal?..
Backlit moth. The image is cropped.

Dasappan kathakal is already published and sold out 5000 copies, sorry if you didnt get a copy.

Have you taken the moth with the same DSC H5 ? The spider was very sharp and colourful, but the moth is like a mobile cam image. Curious to hear the difference.

Here is a flower which resembles so much to human flesh and blood, dont you guys think so ? (again taken by canon P&S) View it in full size and watch those centre petals !!

@shajufx - The moth photo was shot using my Sony DSC S650. It is the entry level P&S from Sony. The original image is attached below. Tried to crop the image for more "effect". Looks like it didn't work out well

OT, didn't get the Dasappan Kathakal copies, time for a reprint?

Ha ha ha, pramod, you better stick to images here, otherwise you could be in trouble. At the same time, I support if you plan to start a new thread titled "Dasappan, yesterday, today and tomorow.....an unfolding story of human cruelty".

Two from my recent try at shooting under controlled light. The second one has the subject and their shadows as well .

@HW : Both the shots seem to be out of focus. Is it only me?

Umm, Out of Focus? Some parts of the image are intentionally out of focus but the subjects are sharp. Isn't it?

EDIT: The second one does seem a bit out of focus.

I guess the aperture settings for the first image wasnt right. The right of the piece is sharper than the rest of the image. the base of the piece also seems to be out of focus. As for the second image I'm not getting the sharpness of the object. Just my 2 cents, no offence meant brother.

Yep, it was shot with a 50mm 1.8 wide open. Hence the shallow DOF. But that was intentional. And yes, the tastes differ, so no offence taken either .
