If you see his automotive pictures on his website then you'll come to know that it is his car that he clicks quite so often and posts in the auto-image thread section!

Abhishek since you are still thinking of buying a DSLR, you would be glad to know he started off with a simple sony P&S about 3-4 years back, I do not know mukul directly but he made me browse all the pages of this very own thread along with his 1159 items in flickr to learn how he evolved. He has great compositional skills, coupled with great PP skils, to add to the list a even great cam.

When i brought my DSLR, i wanted to be a story teller like mukul, though he has only commented twice about my pics but everytime he did that, he made my day, also check his flickr photostream for more.

Fatboy, I had the same doubt to be clarified. Probably someone will throw some light on that.

So, you guys are discussing about websites, flickr pages etc. I wish one day a small group would discuss about me too "how great that man was, how great his compositions were and how he evolved"

Here is the last one from BNP series. Waiting for the next wildlife venture after 3 days !

Abhi help is on the way, someone would give you tips here, as I am too young in the field to suggest things.

He he, the usage of 'was' is purposeful, not a mistake. The only point I meant was 'we do a lot of things in this lifetime, but the recognition and appreciation comes very late'. Not necessarily in the photgraphy field as we have 100s of opportunities to learn and showcase our works these days.

Another one from the lalbagh visit !

And that "Little Less DOF" is bringing your subject out (isolating it) beautifully. I have a lot to learn.

I dont think you have a lot to learn with respect to that shot. I think you got it right. You just need a lens with an aperture thats wider to get that kind of softness you see on my photograph. Plus, I shot on a cloudy morning, hence the soft light.
Exif:
Exposure: 1/2500 sec
Aperture: f/2.8
Focal Length: 200 mm
ISO Speed: 640
