Because it was windy, and I took 15 second exposures.
shots taken in bright sunlight. These are in INFRARED, not negative :)
@Shaju
Haha, well a megapixel equivalent would actually be around 30MP for the initial render!
The 50mm 1.4 at work on a 5D Mark 2.

I guess it must be taking lot of CPU cycles to render such landscapes. Hopefully, your renders will someday feature in a pixar movie :)
Shooting through glass?

Good one ! So you sold your D3s ? No it can not be true :) !
@TSK
Not pixar for sure, I work on photoreal visual effects, not pixar type of cartoony stuff :)
Yeah, the image was shot through a glass panel.
@shaju
I have no dslr with me now. I sold off my D3s along time back...the 5d belongs to the company I work for....I am waiting for the D800 release to get a new body...If it's not upto the standard I expect, I will switch back to D3s again but use a Mark2 for Video needs along with a nikon Adapter.

For video use a Panasonic (GH2 or successor) would suit better. Canon and Nikon are still lagging behind when it comes to video and features.
However, if you are looking at serious DOF, the full frame makes sense.
But I am wondering, you had a D7000, right, where did it go?
@TSK
We are producing full fledged commercial productions using the 5D Mark 2 and the 7D which are considered industry standards for low budget productions, at least here in the States. Once converted into ProResHQ format, they are excellent non compressed progressive frames well suited for matchmoving and other post processing needed for CG integration. With compositing packages even rolling shutter can be well controlled(developed exclusively for the 5D and 7D). Hence the choice of 5D.
In a production environment, Canon is way ahead than any other brand for budget productions also taking into consideration, the numerous accessories available like sliders, steady cams, rigs, etc exclusively made for the Mark2 and 7D.
Also, sensor size comes into handy while dealing with bad light.
I didnt understand the connection between DOF and fullframe....DOF is a property of the lens as far as I understand...
I was having issues with back focus at focal lengths over 200mm with the D7000. So had to sell it off.

Hey Mukul,
Nice to see you back here. Have been following you on Flickr in the meantime.
DoF is a function of the lens primarily and the combination of lens and sensor secondarily. At least as far as I understand.
What is back focus?

Glad to hear! Feels good to be back as well.
Back focus is a problem found in AF systems that means the camera tends to focus just behind the intended subject.
Hey TG, Welcome back, long time.....
From a photowalk some time back, theme was indoor photography. I am aware of the reflection on the glass:Frustrati

Here is a unique creation by a potter, you guys might have seen plenty of pottery images with the wheels spinning and something getting molded in it. This is a finished product and it can not be done by spinning ! Its symbolic too :thumbs up
Mother and Baby !

Note: I hope someday some women rights organisation will buy it from me !!!
