That is really an interesting piece of work. Very creative.
@fazalaliadil:
I really liked the first and third pictures. The first one is mind-blowing actually.

Lovely pictures. However, there is visible vignetting. Is this deliberate or an after effect of taking photos at the longest end of the zoom? Pictures look great in any case. |
Vignetting was added in PP. I'm just learning to do all this PP stuff. Do you think it is overboard?

For the lion picture I think it went a bit overboard. Otherwise it is more or adds character to the pictures imho.
I give vignetting a separate spin by calling it the Diana/Holga effect. Okay actually, it is a filter type in GIMP. :)
Some clicks in the London zoo
Took this in the phone just now.. With dark rain clouds creeping up from one side of the sky and bright sunshine form the other side, this was really nice to see.

While walking to the Great Indian Place in Noida, Sector 18, the sky was just calling to be to take its pic.

Guys,
Got myself Sigma 70-300mm APO DG from JJMPF, here is my first trial shot. Hoping to take it out this weekend. Seems like tripod is mandatory for crisp pictures, now I have to start that habbit :D.

Not actually , most of my shots using this lens are without tripod and are sharp. You need high shutter speed following atleast 1/Focal length rule.
Usually I keep 1/500 to 1/600 during daytime , If light is less use flash or use ISO1600.
@harshal
Good to know that you are enjoying the camera. Wait till you get to a DSLR. :D
@amit26
That is one amazing snap amit. What did you do? I can see a sepia cast with increased grain and some vignetting done. Photoshop? GIMP? Picknik?

Thanks typeOnenegative you can use either GIMP or PS key is layers based processing. A tutorial is here for Photoshop but same can be done in GIMP as well
Photo Transfer Edge Effect | Photo Effects | PSHERO
But I used a much simpler method then this tutorial
1. Get an irregular frame / border jpg as per liking there are plenty on web or make one yourself. Choose a sepia color fill for middle of this
2. Desaturate the image in base layer
3. Apply the border image as layer on top of the desaturated base image.
4. Use Dodge BUrn or Linear burn in blending options as per your liking in this image it is Linear burn.
5. Apply a filter to scratch , You can texturise for Canvas texture as well ( not done in this image) or do both.
Flatten the image and you are done.
