@clevermax:
Lovely picture of the beach. Especially knowing that you took the snap with your cell phone.

A shot of the sunset in the colony.
@moderators: This picture is mine. Please do not delete. :D

I immensely liked the first one. Especially the lighthouse light piercing through the haze. Wow..

Thank you gd1418!

Nice picture, but I think it is a bit too warm. It will be good if you move your watermark to the bottom edge of the picture..

Steady hands? I have taken all the pics at F44, this was taken at F 5.6:D

TG,
Lovely portraits, as always!

Robimahanta,
I am a big fan of your photographs, real good buddy!

Clevermax,
I like the second one better :). The foreground object makes it work for me.

f44? :Shockked: Why? You could have shot it wide open and yet have it in focus.

Hey Guys,

Got myself a Pentax K-x. My first DSLR. Here's the first shot using my K-x. C & C welcome.

Lovely choice of camera and wonderful picture to start off with. I was seriously considering the K-7 before figuring out I could not live with the tension of no service in India. I will be helpful if you could share your experience in the DSLR thread (if you have not already done so that is).

@clevermax,
Thank you for your kind words. I felt that the warmth was okay, but yeah, need to do something about the watermark.

I was at National Botanical Garden over the weekend and I think I'll be spending a lot of time here for two reasons, the temperature is what I am accustomed to and it has some real nice flowers. Here's the Nikon AI-S 55mm f2.8 in action on a Panasonic G1. This lens is a performer, love it so far. Pardon the noise (light was very very low) and the aspect ratio :D.

A picture of my son who had just driven his bicycle without support for the first time. The picture is at ISO 1600 and shot using the D90's sports mode.

Very nice shot O-ve. Like the eye contact and blurred background. My son did that when nobody was around, so no pictures for him for that exact moment.

Mr.Bernard Solomon 2011, you are rocking these pages, I must say. Lovely images. I am yet to get that 'ride alone' image of my son.

Veeresh, welcome back, in fact come back to India, we miss all the fun ! I have been trying to replace your presence with someone all these 6 months, but not yet successful ! No kidding.

I have gone to Hebbal lake atleast a dozen times, but each visit gives something new or different !

Old accolade bridge near my wife's place, was built by the brits to transport water across the paddy fields, the color you see is the actual color of the paddy fields due to dry conditions.

Nice shot shaju, Did u replace the color of the water ?

Pramod, It is difficult to believe that those color in the middle is the real one. It looks like some red ink fell over a the photograph.

Its only contrast correction, color is not touched. I think the actual color changes based on the day light intensity and time !
