A Rajasthani guy in his traditional attire...

A bit blurred I must say. Did the camera shake?

Not really. My Tamaron lens has some issues wherein quite a few good clicks look good on screen but when downloaded have these blurs.

Time to change lens:)

Here another close up which came out better.

Either the Tamron is playing funny here or its having front focus or back focus issue. Is it focus hunting when you shoot ? Tamrons are known for that.

The lamp looks really colorful, wishing if the vented area was in sharp focus.

I have been watching this thread for many moons and decided to take the plunge and start posting some pictures. Most of my pics are of family and friends.
I am but a humble beginner in this vast world of photography.
Please do post your comments , i do not do to much PP, i use Picasa and shoot in jpg mode.
The Office had organised a team building event last weekend at WonderValley, Bannerghatta.
I did not take the tripod and missed out shooting the night sky which looked breath taking far from the city lights.

Well below are shots i took there with my Nikon D50 and the 50mm 1.8.

A winter visitor in our part of the world. Bluethroat. Taken near Calcutta in December 2010.

Love the texture on the perch in the second photo. There is some fog in both the photographs. Were these taken early in the morning?

Thanks, No that's not fog, that's blurred background which is giving impression of fog.

Now for some festive mood, shots taken during last Christmas during pooram near my wife's place.

True but there was no sufficient light outside of the lamp and there is little shake as well, I don't have tripod.
