I also have a 5 day plan for Kanyakumari to Kasargod after the monsoon :). |
I would have jumped at this had I been in India :( . More for driving and seeing places than anything else. I have driven extensively (well it's subjective) in the northern half of Kerala but haven't really explored the southern half. Dreaming that I'd get to do it someday.
For now, here's one from me.
Eros, Art Gallery of South Australia, Adelaide.
I didn't place my son there, it was a natural moment. And so I couldn't compose the picture well enough with my 35mm (the sculpture got chopped on top).

Is that the newly launched 'flash protection' goggles ?
An image of a typical TN sunset and a rose bud in macro from my balcony. Both taken with my Nokia N8.
@saju Maybe you are right, i am getting old:D
@sunil the downpour played spoilsport, ranjith took a lot of pics i was not able to do that as every time i took out the camera it was raining.

Thats a beautiful sunset captured, what are those black spots in between ? I would prefer a crop avoiding half of the dark area (bottom). Does N8 give such a blur around the subject for macro or is it PS work ?
@ShajuFX: Even I was flummoxed by the black spots, then on zooming they are birds coming in to roost, so I didn't touch them up and let them be, looks natural. The photo was clicked from a train on my way back to Chennai, the only consolation for travelling non a/c was this beautiful sunset. Thanks for the comment. I did a little bit of alteration on Picasa/Picnic, no N8 doesn't have the blur function. there were unnecessary distractions so blurred it out so the rose bud appears in focus and slightly altered the saturation/temperature for the effect.
Pic of my daughter taken at Kovalam beach, near Chennai, some seven years back with a Kodak 1MP digicam, my first. Excuse the quality, looks like a little mermaid come out from the sea.
