Thanks Nilanjan! Yes this was shot in Periyar, just a couple of weeks back. It was taken during the last boat safari of the day around 4.30PM I guess on 16th March.

We did spot lots of animals grazing along the lake, and were lucky enough to spot one big herd of elephants and another 2 elephants with a baby playing in water.

I have two dogs. Don't take them out on weekend trips in the South nowadays. Usually go to the jungles and drive interstate. Also, they bark continuously and jump around. Since my daughter travels in a child seat, it can get distracting.

My first dog traveled extensively when we were in Mumbai.

Re: The Official non-auto Image thread

I am now royally caught up with heavy back logs (processing), hope to cover up in a month. Very irregular here, thanks to the changing phase of life Had to turn down the offer from an exhibitor on a theme based 5 day exhibition, because I frankly do not have time to sit and categorize my pics right now.
One from the Holi 2012 !

Note: It would be helpful if someone could PM me on a software or tool that can categorize around 7000 images to 8 categories. My workflow was not organized from the start, so it looks like I have to reprocess my entire collection for serious usage !

Re: The Official non-auto Image thread

Met up with couple of friends last evening to do some indoor product shoots. Here's my best from the evening. It needed some fill, but couldn't get the desired effect. One 430EX from camera's right through a Westcott Medium Apollo Softbox.

I wish I had cleaned the iPod before the shot though.

Good one, ask Rudra da about that cleaning part ! Every minute line or dust becomes a spoil sport when it comes to strobe works. I have few kids images done with strobes, everything was done with utmost satisfaction until I saw it on my system. Either it would be some biscuit parts on their lips or some dust in the nose or ears that we never notice while shooting !

Lets do some outdoor strobe works, I would get to see your accessories that came from US too

Thanks Shaju. Definitely, cleaning is an integral part of strobe photography and I don't seem to learn that lesson. Like I told you, I am all up for doing strobe portrait sessions. We need a model though .

Lets do it next week, I am ready ! What gender you want as a model, if it is a male mode, someone is been posting on FB that he is available for Rs.500 for an entire day (claims to have worked in many ads and campaigns but seems to be broke right now). We can bargain him down to idli/dosa breakfast

But if its female model, then I have to check my resources, I can get someone free without issues, depending on the day we want to shoot. My wife's niece is doing engineering, so dont be surprised if the entire batch turns up and you will have a tough time ! Then the lunch is on you
