Hello Team-bhpians,

Posting couple of shots taken from my window today. The thing is, I'm normally a landscapes person. These kind of shots are new to me. I'm requesting honest feedback from you folks.

Nice macros with the Raynox! Would you mind shooting the moon with a 300mm and Raynox and posting here?
Also, will auto focus work with raynox?
Thanks!

Thanks! I think we cannot focus on infinity with Raynox so a moon shot would not be possible.. I have only used MF till now.. I think it works when I mount it on the kit lens.

Doesn't it look somewhat like an aerial view of buildings ;)

Dear Friends,

A good news from my side - we are blessed with a baby girl on 30th April.
Heres a B&W pic of the baby captured on the very first day!

Thanks for the suggestion.. I haven't got any time yet to go out and shoot some macros. Macro world is still limited to indoors and artificial light. Suggest an easily doable light diffusing mechanism? These are taken with direct (external) flash and it is a harsh lighting on the subjects.

Clever. Congrats on your Raynox, good to see lots of Macros. House fly was superb. Keep going buddy.

Congrats c300. This is why we keep saying "Sleep like a baby", she is a tiny angel.

Neither could I resist the Squirrel shot. Nikon Coolpix P510's awesome 42X Optical Zoom makes these pictures easy without scaring these timid creatures.

Just look in youtube. You can find loads of DIY setup for macros.Especially lightings.I had setup a Macro studio at home with all hardboads and white papers,LED lights, flurescent lamps etc. As you know,I am just a beginner, and yet to get proper results.

We have a visitor to our kitchen window daily. Thought I ll capture him today.

Here s the little one having his full.

I m still new to photography took the first two pics through a window mesh. All were shot in RAW format and post processed (for the first time) in Rawtherapee and heavily resized after that.
(Not very comfortable with post processing)

Congratulations C300 :). It'll be good to see you document her growing up. It'll be a nice project and will give you so many memories. Just ensure you do not use flash till she grows up a bit (4-5 months). There's no scientific explanation/facts of any damage that might happen, but why take a chance?
