I just meant noise reduction.. not masking out the background. But then there's a technique to do your NR in a duplicate layer and then mask out the places which has details so that the background bokeh will be more smooth while preserving subject's detail.

Using Minolta 50mm f/1.7, 1/15s, f/2.2, ISO400, Fluorescent lighting (there's proof )

Everything flew over my head

I am still learning the ropes. Would you mind explaining in more simpler terms?

Hope you are aware of noise reduction, while processing RAW or while processing the picture in Photoshop or the likes. What I meant was, we can selectively do NR on the background so that it looks more smoother..

Saw this funny scene in the garden

Picture Perfect Swiss. this view unfolds on the train journey from Lauterbrunnen to Jungfraujoch and is just great. I feel this is the best of the almost 2000 pics taken by me during my vacation in Europe a few weeks back.

Beautiful place! I am itching to edit this landscape to make it even more beautiful!

This is a macro day for me
ISO 100, f/25, 1/160s camera's built-in flash directed through a Pringle's can and diffused using a white plastic sheet, which didn't diffuse it properly

The difference between an APS-C and FX sensor with respect to the bokeh in the perceived FOV is evident here. You got wider FOV and still the beautiful bokeh!

Lovely shot TG. These old MF glasses create some intersting bokeh. My old pentax super takumar 135mm is similar in nature.
