Among the first few I got after getting the 70-300VR.
Just purchased the Tamron 90mm f/2.8 for my Nikon D90. A few test shots came out decently.
From my balcony. In these last few days have seen many different cloudscapes and some brilliant evening lights.

@TSK
Superb shot! Love the cloud lines!
A couple of long exposures from my end.

Regards,
TG.

I couldn't get a good angle, here are two more. You could call these American Jatayu stupid:

Good to see you coming with more and more. Liked the first one. So you are away from Lens With Fungus (LWF) group.

TG, those are some mind blowing long exposure shots!
Here is one of my landscape photos that I think has turned out quite unique --

Nice... but I think you will agree, that the sky we saw that night was extraordinarily spectacular. It was a cold dec 2010 night... right?

Shot at Nandi Hills, Bangalore. This place is called Nehru Nilaya, a guest house.
I loved how the colorful flowers are placed in front of the white building and white Nehru statue.

@TSK
Agreed :)
some July 4th fireworks. Actually the first time I shot fireworks.

Regards,
TG.

Rock on with the D800 buddy. But in your case it has nothing to do with the body or lens, we all know. Tell us few things (I can ask this to you by messenger but thought of putting it to the benefit of others too), has it changed your workflow ? What kind of memory upgrades did you take on PC ? Whats the kind of cards you use in cam and how do you back up ? And finally, whats your system config to get a smooth PP with such huge files from the cam ? Regards.
My experiment with light goes on, I feel it has not even started ! This is shot through glass, with a strobe behind and in pitch dark surrounding.

@Shajufx
Thanks for the kind words Shaju. I haven't made any significant changes to my workflow, I generally tend to shoot less(as in being extremely selective in what I shoot) that in itself makes me deal with less files. As far as processing goes, I have a beefy system that I use for my Vfx and game environment artwork. It's a twin processor system powered by 2 Intel Xeon E5645 hexacore chips, with 24gigs of RAM and an Nvidia GTX 580 Gpu. I also have a RAID array of 6 TB, Raw files are backed up here. Compared to the files I work with, the size of a D800 Raw file is quite manageable. For processing, I use Lightroom 4, photoshop & Nuke. As far as cards go I use a couple of 32 gig CF cards and another couple of SD cards of the same size.

TG.
Macro shot taken at a recent vacation to Girivan

Just took this photo on my iPhone. Snapseed application uses for post processing.
