Very nice effort - reminded me of the "Safari" shots that many travellers to Kenya and Tanzania had in their albums in the early 1960s. The retro effect is really nice

Best Regards

Very nice shots. Which lens were you using for BIF?

Thanks. The difference is, it is very easy to get a leopard on a tree shot in Africa, and extremely difficult in India. One has to be very lucky or have a nice really long lens to get a closeup.

I had a puny Nikkor 55-200mm lens, fortunately another gentleman in the same boat lent me his 70-300mm lens.

Re: The Official non-auto Image thread

Could someone suggest a lightweight app to create/insert copyright sign for images?

Hi

You can try GIMP to insert copyright sign. There's an additional plugin for gimp which you need to download. Else more easier is picasa software version.

Thanks! AFAIK picasa seems to be little heavy on memory. I want this on a machine which runs XP and has 2GB of RAM! I just need to add some watermark or else copyright sign for all my pictures, preferably with the option of batch mode. Let me try with GIMP.

I too use XP with 2GB RAM and dual core processor. Photoshop, DPP, Picasa are all open at the same time. Never faced issues .

Incase you want a batch process, download the software called "Visualizer photo resizer" something. It has option to reduce the size as well as watermarking all images. Just experiment with few in the beginning to get the hang of it.
