Thanks.
I usually take a diversion for additional 10-15 kms to otherwise a straight drive to Palakkad town from home, only to capture similar moments.

Here is a closeup (cropped) of a crow pheasant. Shot handheld through the window of my vehicle. Click on the photo to see a better version, it appears oversharpened otherwise.
Anderson's (e)books are available online for free, just Google. Or buy the hard copies from Flipkart or Amazon India.
I haven't had much chance to shoot recently, been revisiting and reprocessing old shots. Here are a couple...
Last kiss from the setting sun. Selective B&W processing.
Wild boars on a misty morning. Shot during a canoe safari in the Satpuras.
Patience and luck are so important for wildlife shooters ..........
Nilanjanji, your cropped closeup of the crow pheasant is the real-world thing - mine looks like a dressed-up tart in comparison!
And the 'last kiss of the setting sun'.......whatever magic you have used, the result is ethereal, spellbinding.
I am normally a complacent, thick-skinned bloke - but captures like yours & M35's brings out the green-eyed monster!

Thanks for the kind words.

The 'last kiss' shot - a friend liked it, wanted a print, but I have deleted the processed full resolution TIF file.

Here is what happened: I was experimenting late at night. After exporting the final - low resolution - JPEGs (larger version here: https://500px.com/photo/157582823/la...ser_id=2185621), I started work on another photo. That didn't come out well, and I was too sleepy by then. So in a bad mood I deleted all the TIFs before shutting down the machine.

Will have to reprocess again. Lol and damn.

A shot from Ladakh, taken after/around sunset.

Beautiful! I still have not started fully exploring the power of 7D with the macro. But yes have become familiar with the usage. Still a long way to go.

Not sure if I had posted this before. Here is one with 550D and 100mm.

3 Image Focus stacked. Effect added in post ( A slight touch).

I just feel sad that am not able to take the 7D out on to field. Cant wait to get it out.

Superb shots all over from your side. As I said, the vivid colour and expressions just show. Nice!

Swallows, Masinagudi

These mouth to mouth encounters would last for 1/10s - 1/5s.
