Apple iPhone Launched!!! OMG, OMG!!! (EDIT: Feb 5th - New memory sizes)

OhMyGodddddd... they just launched the iPhone. I'm watching the liveblog of MacWorld happening right now. Touchscreen Widescreen iPod, Internet Communicator Device and the iPhone (I wonder how they can hang on to that name, with Cisco having patented/TMd that name)

Whoooops. Its all 3 things in one! Has a virtual keyboard with some new Apple magic tech!

It runs OS X!

First pic:

8 GB!

Syncs all data (not just music, vids and photos) with iTunes (huh?)

3.5" screen. 11.5mm thick (!!!!), 2MP cam in the back.

3.5mm jack.

3 advanced sensors. It's got a proximity sensor, bring the iPhone to your ear and your display shuts off and toushccreen shuts down. Ambient light sensor -- adjusts brightness, saves power. Third thing is an accellerometer, it can tell whether you're in landscape and portrait
(From Engadget and TUAW)

WOW!!
A laudable effort from Apple. They seldom go wrong on a product, right?
Is it just the launch for now?? When do we expect to see them on the shelves? or better... in somebody's pocket?

Details of all the features etc...??

Now I think somebody is going to sell their O2!!!

My O2 XDAIIi just went outta the window :-)

The Show is still on. They usually have the stuff available in stores the very next day. Pricing will probably come last in the keynote (it is happening as we speak).

Go to Engadget or The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW) for the live blog.

Free push email (IMAP) from Yahoo. UNBELIEVABLE!!!

Quote:
"It connects to any POP3 or IMAP email -- Yahoo Mail, MS Exchange, Mac Mail... POP3: Gmail, AOL mail, and most ISPs... let's highlight one, Yahoo mail. Today we are announcing Yahoo will offer free push-IMAP email to iPhone customers. This isn't just IMAP, this is push-email, same as a BlackBerry."

All thats fine, but what about the PHONE??? Is it GPRS, 3G, HSDPA, does it feature bluetooth, GPS, et al? Does it have an intelligent keypad and predictive text SMS? Can it sync remotely with your Outlook?

All the other stuff mentioned are nice to haves for a phone. Syncing all data with iTunes is no big deal either since your iPod can currently sync and store contacts and calendar info with Outlook thru itunes.

GIMME PHONE SPECS !
